O Princess of both worlds, my soul is a sacrifice for you — What did this age give you but grief and suffering? After the Prophet of Islam, you were met with only more cruelty; Fidak was seized, your father's inheritance denied to you. You were called a liar, how deeply you were made to suffer — alas, the garden of Muhammad was plundered.

Those who once came to your door seeking intercession — those very oppressors came to set your home ablaze. You recited the verses of the Quran before the entire court, yet the sinners continued to deny and belie you. When you raised your voice in lamentation, the people of cruelty laughed — and the verses of the Quran themselves wept at this.

Your ribs were broken when the burning door fell upon you, and you bore the agony of Muhsin's martyrdom. Haider wept as he gave you the ritual bath — until your last breath, his hand never left your side. Why did you conceal, those wounds of cruelty inflicted upon you? After you, it is for this very reason that I am lost in tears.

When a mother departs, it feels as though God Himself has turned away — there is no shelter in this world greater than a mother. Whenever I recite the rosary in your name, your suffering, O Lady, draws tears of blood from me. That devotion, that lamentation upon your prayer-mat — one hand pressed to your wounded side, the other counting the beads. Those bowings and prostrations, blessings upon you in your desolation — even in such agony, you never let your prayers lapse.

Not for a single moment could I forget your grief — I heard of your resting place and made my way to what remains of it. That sorrow, that darkness, that oppressive atmosphere — alas, they did not even allow the marker of your grave to remain. May a shrine be built over you — this is my deepest longing — so that all those who mourn may come there once again in pilgrimage.
